From humble beginnings to a household favorite, Cook's celebrates milestones in quality chicken for Filipino families.
1950
Founded by the Sarmiento Brothers, Vitarich Corporation – which was initially known as Phil-American Milling Co. – was established to help the country’s livestock industry.
1959
The company invested in several advancements that bring forth the largest, most modern and fully equipped feed plant in the country at the time.
1962
From here, Vitarich continued to grow and started venturing poultry business.
1970s
Dressing Plant Facilities were built.
1980s
Later on, Vitarich expanded its services to Visayas and Mindanao Regions making it possible to serve more Filipino Farmers.
1990s
Vitarich opened its arms to partnership with different business entities and ventured fast-food enterprise.
2000
Vitarich Research Center was established.
2002
The company earned its ISO Certification as proof of its compliance to the ISO 9001:2000 Standard by the Certification International (CI).
2007
Three feed milling plants in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao received a Grand Slam Certification from ISO Feed Safety and HACCP. In this year as well, Captain V was officially introduced to the public as Vitarich’s official mascot.
2014
Vitarich successfully completed its supposed 15-year corporate rehabilitation and converted its P2.38 billion debt into equity.
2016
Mr. Rogelio Sarmiento transitioned the role of President and CEO to Mr. Ricardo Manuel Sarmiento on July 1, 2016. In the same year, the Lifetime Profitable Partnership (LPP) launched to foster relationships and business growth.
2018
Inaugurated a new feed mill in Davao and automated its feeds mills in Iloilo.
2020
Vitarich Corporation celebrated its 70 years of Forging Livelihood, Nourishing Lives.
